TD RestGuard is a DTF printhead protection solution made for Epson-based piezo DTF printheads. When your printer sits idle for a few days between jobs, a splash of TD RestGuard in the capping station keeps the nozzles moist and stops ink from drying out and clogging the print path.

How to use this DTF printhead protection solution

Activate TD RestGuard when your printer will be idle for a few days. Apply it as a splash in the capping station to keep the nozzles moist and prevent ink from drying over. Do not flush TD RestGuard through the print path itself — it is designed to sit in the capping station, not run through the ink lines. For daily shutdowns, use TD DailyFlo instead, and for storage beyond a few days switch to TD SleepSeal.

Why idle printheads need protection

Left uncapped or dry for even a few days, the fine nozzle channels in a piezo printhead can partially clog as residual ink oxidises and thickens. This is one of the most common reasons direct-to-film printing businesses lose printheads early. TD RestGuard forms a moisture seal in the capping station so the printer is ready the moment you switch it back on.
